Plus, goji berries are packed with antioxidants, amino acids (including all of the essentials), vitamins (500 times more vitamin C per ounce than an orange!), and minerals. This bar also contains Mesquite, which is high in fiber, protein, calcium, manganese, potassium, iron, and zinc. Mesquite aids in stabilizing blood sugar, making it a good choice for diabetics.     I love raw cacao! I started my love affair last year and it has only continued to grow. I especially love Chocolatl’s goji maca raw chocolate. It has beautiful taste notes and the goji berries really round it off nicely. In my experience, maca can be a bit bitter, but Chocolatl has found a way to take the edge off this. In addition, I love how it comes in, what I refer to as, chocolate bark. Unlike other raw cacao bars I have had, where the raw cacao is shaped and molded into what the western world has recognized as chocolate bars, Chocolatl is broken up into pieces. This makes it so much easier to eat. I like to keep mine in the fridge and nibble off it in the afternoon if I need more energy or eat a small amount with my tea in the morning. You really don’t need a lot of it to feel the benefits. So, when the raw cacao is in a bar (rather than bark) form, it can be a bit difficult to break a part. With the bark, it is in different sizes/shapes, so you can just take the piece that better fulfills your needs at that time. Cheers to Chocolatl! My only suggestion would be to ship the chocolate with ice packs to keep it cool. Especially for those who live in warmer- hot and humid climate zones (to keep the chocolate alive and well without losing any nutrients). 🙂
