Ingredients:

  • 2 medium (or 1 large) carrots
  • ½- to 1-inch ginger root
  • 2 ½ cups water
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ avocado
  • 1 tablespoon onion
  • ¼ lemon, peeled
  • ½ teaspoon cumin

Make It Happen:

  • Blend carrots, ginger, and water.
  • Strain through fine strainer into a bowl, separating the fiber and liquid.
  • Pour liquid back into blender, then add remaining ingredients and blend until smooth.
  • Garnish with hemp seeds, fresh cilantro, and black pepper.

  1. This recipe is incomplete. It doesn’t tell you what to do with the avocado, lemons, onion and cumin. I’m a veteran soup-maker, so I can dope it out. But most people won’t be able to use this, I think.
