Description

3rd Rock: America’s Safest Sunscreen

Why is 3rd Rock America’s safest sunscreen? Well, for one thing, the original formula of Dr. Guerry Grune’s 3rd Rock Sunblock Lotion SPF 35 is formulated exclusively from food-grade, edible sunscreen ingredients. Consequently, it prevents skin damage caused by both the sun and the toxic synthetic compounds included in a long list of sunscreen ingredients to avoid.

In fact, like any traditional sunblock lotion, 3rd Rock SPF 35 offers UVA protection, and it prevents aging, wrinkling, and skin cancer as well, if not better than synthetic-based sunscreens. It does so by preventing the nuclear damage to cell DNA that causes mutation and, eventually, cancer because it blocks UVA and UVB rays, rather than only blocking UVB rays like many standard sunscreens.

What’s more, 3rd Rock Sunblock is the safest sunscreen on the market because it is the only alkaline sunblock currently available. As such, it does not disrupt the endocrine system or alter the body’s hormonal balance. Research shows cancer cells only develop in acidic environments and die altogether in alkaline ones. This means that 3rd Rock Sunblock’s alkaline pH is specifically balanced to kill off mutated cell before they become cancerous. sunscreen ingredients to avoid

It feels great on my skin. I like the fact that it’s all natural.

I’ve put it on my face and forearms twice so far, both times when I knew I’d be in the sun for at least an hour (walking my dog). There was no sign of even mild sunburn either time, so it did its job. I am always looking for the most natural products, ideally with no mysterious chemicals at all, and that was why I decided to try this one. However, on my skin (I will allow that it might be different on someone else, since skin chemistry can vary a lot), it leaves an extremely sticky film. Both times I ended up having to get into the shower and scrub a lot to finally remove the sticky. Washing arms face with soap at the sink had no effect. My husband just put a little on his nose one of those days, and had the same experience. I really wonder what it would be like to put this on all over, when sunbathing at a beach – might end up encrusted in sand and looking as breaded as a scotch egg. However, if I were to end up alone at sea in a life raft for some days, this would certainly be the sunscreen I’d want. The first astronauts on Mars will probably want this one too.
