In this 12 oz. jar of Aseda Wild Honey, you can actually taste Ghana’s wild forest ecosystem. Aseda Wild Honey is raw, unfiltered, and sustainably harvested from the Molé National Forest in Ghana by the Dagomba tribal people. Read our cover story about why this is the best honey to put in your mouth.

The rich, dark brown color of this honey might surprise you. In fact, Aseda Wild Honey is one of the darkest wild honeys in the world. Dark honey is even more healthful than lighter varieties, due to its higher concentration of vitamins, minerals, enzymes, and antioxidants.

Aseda Raw Wild Honey is produced by African honey bees, which collect pollen from shea, cacao, and calabash trees. Because it is wild, it contains no chemicals, pesticides, or GMO pollen — just the pure essence of Africa’s natural forests in every spoonful.

As advertised, this is a very dark honey and I’ll say alluring, I kept coming back to it as the taste is quite unique & different than local US honey.

Aseda is amazing I’m so happy I got to try it. It has become my absolute favourite honey! I can’t get enough of it, even though I don’t live in the US!

I’d say its a beautiful mix between that nice dark malty flavour of Buckwheat and that thick creamy slightly medicinal property of manuka and then that extra something special that’s not comparable! The honey is rich, dark and soothing – and you notice that as soon as you taste it. It’s not surprising really, since this honey is produced from lovely bees who also happen to be chocoholics 😉 as they frequent the lush cacao trees in the National Mole Forest in Ghana – a lush, wild and clean environment with no GMO’s or pesticides used for miles. They also frequent shea trees among others. And we all know the great benefits of pure wild cacao shea. This type of honey is actually difficult to come by in the western world – and I know as a hungry honey addict always on the search for good-quality healing and tasty! I hope you enjoy it and love it as much as I do!
