STAY FRESH WITHOUT RISKING DEATH
Sweat gland-clogging aluminum oxide causes cancer!
Come puberty, we’re all taught wearing deodorant or antiperspirant is a social necessity. What we aren’t told, however, is this wasn’t always so – that, actually, the entire convention of masking body odor and preventing “unsightly” sweat stains was manufactured by 20th century marketing agencies.
Even worse, major deodorant and antiperspirant manufacturers don’t tell us their products can kill; indeed, recent scientific studies show the ingredients in mainstream antiperspirants can cause cancer. Don’t believe us? Check out the following shortlist of the nastiest ingredients in your everyday pit stick:
- Parabens – According to a 2006 study published in the Journal of Applied Toxicology, parabens in antiperspirants were found in 18 of 20 breast cancer tumors. Parabens have also been shown to disrupt hormone levels.
- Aluminum – A paper authored by the Northwestern University School of Medicine’s Dr. Kris McGrath showed a link between this standard antiperspirant ingredient and breast cancer; the study also showed a link between topical aluminum application and prostate cancer.
- Triclosan – A common antibacterial in traditional deodorants, when Triclosan mixes with water (i.e., sweat) it forms chloroform, which is likely a carcinogen. Read Maryam Henein’s investigative piece Dirty Clean Lies to find out more.
- Fragrances: can legally hide hundreds of chemicals. One of these is phthalates, which have been linked to a variety of health issues. High phthalate blood and urine levels in women of child bearing age have been linked to a higher risk of birth defects.
In addition to these three highly dangerous ingredients, many antiperspirants and deodorants also contain silica, steareth, propylene glycol, and talc, all of which can cause skin irritation and allergic reactions.
Pitch Your Old Pit Stick And Switch To ODORBlock
3rd Rock ODORBlock’s patent-pending formula is a perfect replacement for dangerous, mainstream products containing the killer ingredients above. It doesn’t clog sweat glands with aluminum, like antiperspirants, and instead of containing triclosan like standard deodorants, it uses non-toxic chelated silver oxide to fight the bacteria that cause B.O.
Why You’ll Rave About 3rd Rock ODORBlock Deodorant
- Effectively eliminates bacteria and odor
- Contains no Carcinogens
- Pocket- or purse-sized
- Not tested on animals
Created by Dr. Guerry Grune, the inventor of the world’s safest sunscreen, 3rd Rock Sunblock, 3rd Rock ODORBlock is another result of Dr. Grune’s personal mission to make “non-toxic, green, sustainable products for the planet.” Like 3rd Rock Sunblock, 3rd Rock ODORBlock only contains food-grade ingredients and is entirely edible.
In fact, 3rd Rock uses nearly the same formula for its ODORBlock deodorant spray as it does for its breath freshener; the only difference between the two products is the deodorant contains jojoba oil and aloe while the breath freshener contains spearmint oil. The result is a product that is entirely safe for all ages and can be sprayed practically anywhere except in your eyes.

Body odor is the result of the gases dying bacteria gives off. Basically, bacteria needs three things to grow: food, water, and a substrate to grow on. Human underarms provide all three of these bare bacteria necessities in abundance, with sweat serving as a saltwater solution and dead skin being just the kind of snack microbes like to munch on.
The answer mainstream deodorants offer to this problem is to kill bacteria with triclosan, which when mixed with water, becomes carcinogenic chloroform; antiperspirants, in contrast, deny bacteria water by clogging wearers’ sweat glands with cancer-causing aluminum oxide and parabens. Suffice it to say, the solutions offered by both types of traditional deodorizer are unacceptable. Don’t be duped!
Aside from cancer risks, however, the biggest problem with antiperspirants, in particular, is that they prevent the body from eliminating toxins the only way it knows how: by sweating. So, with antiperspirants, whatever gunk comes into your body through regular respiration and eating ends up blocked up inside your sweat glands. Sure if you wear antiperspirant your pits might smell fresh, but they’re about as clean as a clogged toilet.
3rd Rock, meanwhile, has found a solution that avoids all these hazards: Non-toxic chelated silver oxide is ODORBlock deodorant’s active ingredient, and it inhibits bacteria growth by eliminating the substrate the little buggers grow in. As a result, the underarms of ODORBlock wearers have less bacteria, but their sweat glands remain open, allowing them to evacuate toxins the natural way.
But, best of all, the concentration of chelated silver oxide in ODORBlock deodorant is extremely low, bioavailable, and bioactive, so it will not accumulate in wearers’ bodies over time like the aluminum in conventional antiperspirants. Nor do you have to worry that the chelated silver in 3rd Rock ODORBlock will give you Argyria (i.e., a condition that turns your skin blue); as a biologically active compound — unlike colloidal silver and silver salts — it won’t stay in your body long enough to cause such an effect.
Basically, then, using ODORBlock is a win-win for everybody: You don’t get cancer, your friends don’t smell you, and the environment stays clean in the process. In other words, the only ones losing out with 3rd Rock ODORBlock deodorant are the bacteria, those filthy beasties.
